Your email and your quotation.

When email capture is enabled, we require an email before showing a customer quotation document, client preview or print/PDF. You can keep editing without entering it. Recording your email does not upload or save your quotation.

Reading a quotation

No email or account is required to read a quotation or compare prices. Choosing Read quotation sends the pasted text or file privately to Crednce’s quotation reader. Native text and spreadsheet cells use native readers; complex text, images and scanned pages may be sent to the configured OpenAI or DeepSeek service, named in the reading disclosure. Sources are processed temporarily and are never added to merchant price references or contact records. Raw files, pasted messages and unconfirmed extraction results are not saved in local draft recovery. Only confirmed quotation fields use that recovery.

Provider response storage is disabled and we do not create persistent provider file uploads. Providers may still retain data under their applicable policies and account settings; this does not guarantee zero retention. Review the reading disclosure before submitting sensitive material.

Why we collect it

We use your email for this tool, optional mailbox verification and future account continuity. We do not create an account or subscribe you to marketing. Any future account import needs verified participation and separate proof of quotation ownership.

What verification means

A code confirms control of the mailbox at that moment. It does not verify a business, prices, identity or agreement. Guest ownership uses a protected browser credential that expires after 30 days. While you still control it, you may explicitly enable recovery using your currently verified email. Verification alone does not enable recovery. A one-use emailed code can then restore that ownership on another browser and replace the previous browser credential. Anyone controlling that mailbox can recover the enrolled quotations and manage their links. Recovery does not extend expiry, restore deleted documents or recover unsaved edits and logos. Without earlier enrollment, a typed or verified email cannot recover lost ownership.

Storage and retention

Email addresses are encrypted separately from quotation documents. We use a keyed lookup value for matching, not a public email hash. Unverified contacts have a 90-day deadline after meaningful contact activity. Verified guest contacts have a 12-month deadline. Reading a preview does not extend those deadlines. Verification codes expire after 10 minutes; bounded security records remain for up to 24 hours.

Local quotation drafts use this device’s browser storage for up to 30 days after editing. Explicitly saved server drafts expire after 14 days from a content-changing save, capped by guest access expiry. These are private customer documents, never verified market-price data. Access expiry and physical deletion are separate: production activation requires reviewed cleanup, backup handling and deletion procedures.

Published quotations and recipient links

Publishing requires verified creator email and explicit review of a saved quotation revision. Published contents and totals are fixed; later edits need a new publication. Anyone with a valid link can view after entering an email. A typed recipient email is an unverified contact, not identity proof or acceptance. Link creation and sharing controls do not confirm delivery.

Guest links last up to 30 days from issue, capped by the original guest deadline. Loss of the owner cookie can end management sooner unless you previously enabled recovery for a verified email. Recovery retains the original guest and document deadlines. Read-only recipient sessions last at most 30 minutes. Revocation stops future access but cannot retract downloaded copies. Published guest documents are planned for physical purge 30 days after guest access expiry; recipient emails have a 90-day deadline. These deadlines require an approved production cleanup and backup policy before activation.

Your choices and requests

Use Email settings to change an address; a changed address needs fresh verification. Keep editing closes the email step. For correction, deletion or questions, contact privacy@crednce.io. Never send passwords, verification codes or browser cookies. Clearing a local draft does not delete server records.
